As we close out the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve achieved together. This year, our community has grown in incredible ways. Conexers have stepped up to help each other through introductions, mentoring, knowledge and experience-sharing and problem-solving. We’ve supported startups, enabled partnerships, launched new communities in London and Oxford, and even snagged two shiny awards: the Silver Award for Best Networking Group of the Year and the Positive Impact Award .

When we started CONEXEN, the purpose was clear: to create a space that focused on the humans behind life sciences, biopharma and health tech —a diverse, multidisciplinary community where people could connect, learn, ask tough questions, extend their networks, and feel supported. We wanted to build one where generosity and collaboration came first, where individuals could come together beyond their organisational roles.

Our community is run by volunteers and leaders in their fields, all of us juggling full-time jobs, families, and conflicting priorities. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, we’ve been able to remain independent, and have a small but mighty admin team that keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.

I’m excited about 2025, with your ideas, and involvement, we’ll continue to grow, create meaningful connections, and shape a community with true purpose.
